- Provides better sound resolution.

Should you pick a Noise Cancellation or Noise Isolation?
As you may get from the term itself, headphones make use of a technology where the input audio is processed through a wave frequency filter where the ambient sounds electronically cancel out for better clear and distinct audio output.
On the other hand, a headphone works on the simple principle of creating a physical barrier in between your ear cups and the ambient sounds. However, it is always much more advisable for you to go on with a headphone as they are easier to handle and much more comfortable during long wear time.
Although, when it comes to functionality, It may work somewhat better than the headphones. On a personal note, I would every time recommend the former over the latter.
Now let’s discuss the other important entity of a good headset, ear cups or cushions.back to menu ↑
The Importance of Ear cups and Comfort/Ear Cushions in a Good Headset:
Ear cups play a very decisive role in how good or somewhat how comfortable your headsets would be for your gaming. There are significant roles that the ear cup of your headset has to play.
- Renders the right cushioning for that extra comfort level
- Provides the right grip to keep the headset in place
- Improves the sound quality of the speakers
Thus, it is very important that you have headset ear cups that showcase the following elements:
- Shape and design: This entity undoubtedly plays a pivotal role in determining the comfort zone of your headset. Nor does it specify the level of noise isolation that it can provide you with but also preserve the music that flows into your system from any kind of leakage. Thus, augments the efficiency of the overall audio system.
- Manufacturing Material: The material that is being used in the manufacturing of the product also affects how much sound it can cancel out surrounding noise from the audio output.

Best Gaming Headsets Under $100, Should it be Wireless or Wired?
While you may find that there are two kinds of significant headsets found in the market, it is essential to understand which one aptly fits your needs.
Both the kinds of headsets have their advantages and disadvantages. Thus, it entirely depends on the games that you most frequently play and the ambient circumstances where your games take place.
A wired headset under 100$ has the prime merit of:
- High-end transmission rate at every hour of time. This happens with the simple technology principle that here, data happens to transmit in a bounded medium that is much less vulnerable to frequency damping or loss.
- The volume control and the mute control are very much user-friendly and adjustable while the headset is geared on. This happens due to the presence of inline controls on the wire that enable you to adjust volume and mute controls as per your wish.
- It does not need any kind of battery charging for its operation which is a significant plus point.
However, with these merits come some major setbacks too.
- There is a considerable lack of flexibility and obstruction in the movement of the wire of the headset when plugged in, especially if you are a PC video gamer.
On the other hand, this headset extends the following added services:
- The first significant merit is its amazing mobility that you can enjoy hassle freely. You can move as far as the frequency range of the product allows you to do so.
- When it comes to performance it is a very clear ration, the more money you spend, the better resolution you get.
There are some significant drawbacks to this device too.
- The quality is comparatively on a little downside as compared to the wired one due to the leakage of the output sound. Although, you would hardly be able to make it out through your ears.
- You need to charge the headset for the smooth running.
On a personal note, I will suggest you go for a wireless headset when it comes to gaming. It allows you with the much-needed freedom to go with the flow of your emotions when in gaming.
The other demerits of this peripheral can be dealt with, by conditioning the surrounding ambiance.
If you are considering a new buy, you would need to take a look at all these factors before making the purchase. You wouldn’t want one that doesn’t sound right, and you wouldn’t want one that is not durable enough. Worse, you wouldn’t want one that doesn’t look as great but is durable. You need to spend your money right, and we are sure you would ask the question below.back to menu ↑

To make it a little easier for you I have helped you note just how you can go with a headset that is right for you.

- Look for one that is luxurious in style and ultra-light in weight. You may want to look for a solid aluminum body that makes it durable.
- Decide whether you want to go in for a wired or a wireless one.
- See if the headset offers any high-end technology.
- Check for comfort. Is there soft cushiony ear cups that are known to render extreme comfort?
- How good is the sound quality too? It has to be top-notch, preferably with surround system so that you get every detail. The audio output needs to have the right amount of crispness accompanied by clear and distinct sound quality.
- Check the mic quality. You need a high-end mic that can get its job done.
- See the compatibility. It needs to be compatible with a wide range of gaming devices starting from PC to PS4 to Xbox.
- Check the extra features. Some, for instance, can offer a toggle function of game and voice to make the experience more straightforward, and better.

This headset is the newest addition to the HyperX’s headset line. At a good price point, you get a headset that boasts a combination of an attractive design and a smooth and quick-to-use adjustment features. In addition to that, This is also comfortable — it’s something you can use for long gaming sessions.
As with any of the HyperX headset line, the Cloud Stinger also features excellent audio.
- Extremely comfortable
- Sturdy design and build
- Lightweight feel
- So-so audio
- Non-detachable microphone
This headset boasts a simple but sleek jet-black design with a textured finish and a bold red HyperX logo on each ear cup. It is a wired headset that at first glance, looks like a high-end device.
While the majority of the headset parts are made of scratchy plastic, the overall design is relatively stable.
Being an analog headset, the HyperX Cloud Stinger is universally compatible with any device that has the standard 3.5 mm port. However, unlike other HyperX headsets, the Cloud Stringer’s cables aren’t braided which means they look a little less fancy and much more comfortable to tangle.
The headset is not obnoxiously large like other headsets. It’s not very small either, just a regular-sized headset you can wear without any fuss or stash inside your bag easily. It features a breathable foam over-ear cups with an adjustable microphone at the left ear cup. However, you can’t bend the mic, and you can only move it up and down.
This closed-back over-ear headphone is an impressive sounding pair. It features an extended and excellent bass that makes it more than capable of producing the punch and thump that is common in most bass-heavy genres.
When playing games with this headset, you will inevitably experience the crisp and powerful sound in the background. It also has excellent isolation which can block a fair amount of background noise.
However, it does tend to be inconsistent in producing quality sound with minor detail on some sounds like dialogues and the use of smaller weapons.
While the microphone features aren’t that great compared to high-end headphones, This Headset’s microphone is still passable. While it has a slight hum which can get your voice a little drunk and filtered, it does have a reasonable volume, and your words will still be understandable.
However, it is quite exceptional when it comes to separating your voice from noise which is a somewhat useful feature if you are recording in the most demanding environments.
For its price, you can’t expect high-end features and quality. Still, This is one of the top 5 gaming headsets under 100. Regarding the features, it is competent, lightweight, and comfortable. Although it doesn’t have the highest audio, it can still get the job done.
I did have a few issues with the microphone, but all-in-all, This Headset does what it promises as a good headset.

Last update on 2019-11-20 at 08:57 / Affiliate links / Ratings / Reviews / Images from Amazon Product Advertising APIThis Headset is another new addition to the HyperX Cloud line gaming headsets. It boasts a sound that is perfect for both entry levels and pro gamers. With its affordable price, it offers surprisingly excellent sound and comfort.
The main feature that makes This headset a sell-out is its latest dual-chamber driver design which can effectively separate the highs and mids in the low bass frequencies.
- Extremely comfortable
- Fantastic build quality
- Class-leading audio
- Top-notch microphone
- Only one color choice
- Doesn’t include spare ear pads
Most HyperX headsets boast of comfortable features, and the same thing goes with this headset. It features the HyperX signature memory foam and faux leather ear pads which feels extraordinarily cushy and soft.
This is removable and has a quilted seam on its outer edge which helps prevent it from forming wrinkles. Plus, the inner covering is also very thin and wrinkle-free which can’t affect and muffle the sound.
While it has some new features, the design and build of this headset don’t look so different than the tried and true design of HyperX headsets. It features the same black and red color scheme of the Cloud headset line.
The headband frame of this headset is made with red aluminum and memory foam cushioning with contrast stitching. The aluminum frame also features cutouts on the forks where the ear cups are attached.
While there are already a lot of headsets that use the same double-chamber concept of this headset, it does have some unique modifications which make it one of a kind. The chamber features a specialty-shaped opening which helps it effectively eliminate the low-frequency response.
The 50 mm neodymium drivers that this headset is equipped with can provide high frequencies that can be radiated directly to your ears.
This headset also comes with a detachable braided audio cable that is 4 feet and 8 inches long. The cable is also equipped with an inline audio control that has both a mute switch and volume dial.
Without its cable, This headset only weighs around 300 grams which is so much lighter than other headsets.
One of the selling points of this headset is its top-notch sound quality. It’s one of the best and most affordable high-quality analog headsets you can find.
Whether you are watching videos on YouTube, listening to your favorite music or playing whatever video game you fancy, this headset can get the job done. It will never fail in delivering clear, well-defined, and balanced audio. While it might have a slight bass sound signature, it is never overpowering and just perfect for gaming.
While it doesn’t have the surround sound, it’s still remarkably close to some of the high-end and expensive headsets.
The built-in microphone of this headset is not one of its crowning glory. It’s a little long compared to typical built-in mics on most headsets. However, it fairly adjustable and can perfectly hold whatever position you want to bend it into.
If you want, you can also remove the microphone. More than that, it also boasts of a noise cancelling feature. It is concise, clear, and free of any static when gaming which makes it perfect for in-game chats.
Its build is impressive, mostly made of aluminum and not the typical low-class plastic like most headsets in its price range. The plastic parts are also solid and durable. Plus, it is highly adjustable but not the wobbly kind of headset.
As far as the sound quality goes, it’s on point if you are looking for an analog headset that can offer the best natural sound reproduction possible.

Design and build wise, This is extremely lightweight, but it doesn’t look and feel like the typical cheap headphones. At first glance, you’ll think it is one of the high-end options in the market with its eye-catching design and appearance.
Majority of the design combines black, deep blue, and chrome which gives it a classy look. The LED lights that come with it is also an added surprise which gives the headphones more life.
One of the best parts of the VersionTECG G2000 stereo headphones is its compatibility with a wide range of systems. You can use it on your PlayStation 4, newer versions of Xbox One, laptops, computers, iPad and tablets, and on your mobile phone. For some older versions of the Xbox One, you’ll need to connect the headset to an adapter.
While you can use this headset for almost all devices, the controls that come with this is merely ideal for gaming use. It features an inline control located at the ear which is easy for you to access. You can use it to control various functions from adjusting the volume or muting sounds.
Overall, This is an excellent sound system for gamers. The headphone features a 50 mm magnetic driver which provides clear and robust sounds. I commend the bass as it can kick in exactly as it should, and it gives a loud rumble which is brilliant for most video game effects. It can also emphasize distant sounds like approaching vehicles and enemy airships.
Another great feature of the headphone is its built-in noise reduction capability which helps give a better audio by ensuring that there is little to no noise from outside the headphones.
The microphone that comes with the stereo is highly sensitive. It can manage to efficiently pick up each sound from the softest whispers to the loudest yells.
The great thing about this headset’s microphone is that it is omnidirectional, which means it can maintain all the necessary sound excluding background noise. Plus, the noise reduction technology of the headset also helps the built-in microphone filter out other sounds, such as when you are playing with other gamers online.
You can always plug in the headset, but it can also last for about 8 hours of continuous use with its battery power.
Overall, this is one of the best gaming headsets for under 100, a perfect sound system for entry-level gamers on a budget. While it is cheap, it is not made with cheap materials and features.
It can get the job done effectively. Plus, it would look good on you with its classy design and the LED light system which can up the level of excitement once the game starts.

It’s a gaming peripheral that sounds dynamic for almost every type of gaming and also meets up to the expectations of a standard music headset.
Thus, to have a better insight into the product let’s take a tour of its features.
- Comfortable wear
- Punchy bass response
- Attractive design
- Sturdy built
- Commendable mic
- Best for gaming
- Mid tones tend to get a touch muddy
- Relative weak head grip
- Considerably good for music
Perhaps built in the perfect blend of materials in this price rate does feel amazingly good in the hand. The top of the headset is probably layered with some pseudo leather material and has the logo of “Razor” etched into the headband.
The underneath of the band, however, comes with a relatively shallow sheet of foam with this area enveloped in cloth. The otherwise comfortable to wear headphone that Razor presents are only having one difficulty that can be considered a hindrance for some people. Its weight is a tough task to conquer; 322 gms.
However, the comfort that the headband provides will majorly reduce the feeling of weight.
One significant modification of the headphone that might interest you is that the headphone has made height adjustability possible in that the upper section of the Kraken. This has readily made a vast range of modifications accessible for different sizes and shapes of heads.
Due to this added benefit, one downside may appear as the lowered grip on the head. Moving to the other sections of the headphone, This feels good. The headset sides are molded nicely into one frame with the help of a metal. The ear cups are manufactured from a proportionate blend of metal and plastic.
Speaking of the ear cups, it allows a decent amount of physical adjustment. The circular cutout on the inside is relatively large and fits my ears nicely. The foam here is much thicker than the one on the headband.
One of the plus points of this headset is that you would find it pretty resilient. Thus, it gives you enough scope to tuck it into the headset’s left-hand side easily.
This is one of the strong points; The headset offers excellent listening experience across a wide spectrum of applications. Though mostly boasted about gaming, I have personally found its music applications to be a little of an Achilles heel.
As a whole, it is an excellent level of bass that many would agree probably. The last time I played a dynamic pop playlist randomly from the YouTube and the results worked well for me. However, it lacked the required punch.
Gaming is more about immersion, and This headset does so. It undoubtedly meets up to the expectations of the gaming world. I tried running Battlefield 1, and that sounded marvelous through. It covered all the sound patterns in precision ranging from a thud to explosions communicating the havoc of firefights. Even, my Titanfall two experience was better than expected. I could feel the sound of the booty footsteps and the booming thrashing sound.
However, if I point out, all total of the bass and the relatively wide soundstage gave me a worthwhile experience.
The microphone is also a stellar addition to the overall performance of the headset. The headset has set some primary vocal clarity goals for me at a personal level.
I have captured a few recordings with my Samsung Galaxy note IV, and the results were remarkably crisp, clean and clear.
The best wireless gaming headsets under 100. It’s built is remarkable in every aspect. For the appearance, you might like to give it a full star rating. However, with stylish appearance, it renders some equally cool functionality. Its performance is stellar when it comes to aiding comfort for long gaming sessions.
Thus, it can be stated that perhaps, it is one of the best choices of headset for gamers that excels in almost every area. For music, if you are in need of some high-end audio, this headset, might be the answer to your questions.

- Rich surround sound
- Modular components
- Worthy base station
- Strong battery life
- problematic microphone
- companion app may appear overwhelming
The RIG 800 LX has an all-plastic build that more precisely renders its comfy and cozy feel when you put it on. This is a point that you may cherish most of the time. However, the inability of detaching the mic may not be liked by everyone here.
You might agree on the point that the audio of the product is worth the money. Gunshots and footsteps are all crystal clear. I tried running Captain America, and the results were very satisfying for me. However, to optimize the full potency of the RIG 800 LX your games need to be compatible with Dolby Atmos.
I tried Gears of War 4 to understand the difference and just got pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the sounds of boom shot rounds whizzing overhead. You would find out that there are EQ modes; clear, seismic, intensify and vocal focus.
If you are trying to find a headset that is compatible with both Xbox and PC yet does not make a hole in your pocket, you should probably go for this.
With my recommendations and experience with the products, I hope it somewhat got you a clearer idea of which one to consider for buying. It is always advisable for you to find your sole purpose of the headset. If you want to use them for both gaming and work, it might be of more benefit of go with the multi-purpose ones.
Again, another key element of consideration is the price. It totally shall depend upon the level of efficiency and quality that you might require for a task that should ideally determine your buy of the headset.

- Sturdy construction
- Good audio quality
- The long cable is not detachable
The headband of the NUBWO N2 has a leather topping and a light padding which is surprisingly comfortable even for extended use. Plus, it has ear cushions with the same leather topping which, shockingly, also feels quite nice.
Overall, with its lower price, the NUBWO N2 is still comfortable to use.
At its price range, the NUBWO N2 surprisingly features great overall design and build. While this headset is mainly made of plastic, it is high-quality material that is sturdy but also surprisingly soft to the touch.
With its premium feel and quality construction, you wouldn’t think it’s among the cheapest headsets you can find.
The headband features a metal at the top frame which adds to its sturdy construction. It also features a long braided audio cable. However, it is not detachable which can be a bit annoying if you need to transport it.
Overall, the NUBWO N2 is built to achieve a quality system for gamers.
The headset can provide a decent range when it comes to the bass, similar to most low-priced headsets. However, the NUBWO N2 is not your typical cheap headset. It has an open back design that makes it sound better than other earphones in the same price range.
It allows the back of the ear cups to bleed sound, producing a less private audio listening experience.
The open-back design of the NUBWO N2 also widens the soundstage to achieve better directional audio. This improves the user immersion, especially in video games. It can take your gaming experience to the next level.
The microphone features a foam windscreen that can effectively work on reducing thunderous sounds – so you won’t have to worry about deafening whoever is listening. Generally, it can sound pretty good.
From performance to build quality, the NUBWO N2 is a good buy. It offers crisp sounds for that ultimate experience – all without having to pay a lot of money.

While I may have named the gaming headsets under $100, I still have a few highly-recommended and underrated brands that make the cut, too.

Not over-designed and not bulky, the SteelSeries Arctis 5 gaming headset features a white or a sleek black peripheral that comes with a flexible Velcro headband and comfy over-ear cups.

In addition, you also get a retractable and bendable microphone attached to the left ear cup. There’s also a mute mic button and a volume wheel at the back.

The HyperX Cloud Pro is a level improvement to the Cloud headset. It features the same HyperX headset design of sturdy aluminum frames and long lasting and durable leatherette cushioning.
There are only a few changes in detailing for the Cloud Pro. Instead of having full black ear pads like the Cloud headset, it now has silver metallic ear pads with silver stitching across the headband in place of red.
Aside from that, it still looks and feels quite the same as the basic HyperX Cloud headset. It still features the same ear pads that perfectly cups the entire ear.
The main selling point of the HyperX Cloud Pro is its 53 mm drivers on both sides along with its Hi-Fi sound wave reproduction which is perfect for gamers. It is highly sensitive compared to most stereo headphones available in the market. The headset can almost give you that surround sound effects – perfect for when you want to immerse yourself in a game.
The microphone that comes with this headset is also built for functionality. It is detachable and can function like any high-end add-on microphone. It has zero static, no crosstalk, or any interference.
Overall, the HyperX Cloud Pro has what it takes for both a newbie and a pro gamer from its durable and lightweight construction to its high-end performance.
The Logitech G230 Stereo Gaming Headset is among the best inexpensive gaming headsets there is and for a lot of reasons.
For one, it can provide an entirely different sound, making your gaming perception and experience heightened and more pleasant. It features ear pads that are made of perforated fabric material. Plus, it allows air to pass through the pads to your ear which makes it extremely comfortable to use even in long-term gaming.
The headphones themselves are adjustable, and you can rotate it to certain degrees. The Logitech G230 stereo gaming headset also comes with a long and sturdy cable that is wrapped in fabric.
Overall, aside from being a name brand, the Logitech G230 stereo gaming headset is made of quality and can guarantee great performance at an affordable price
Astro is among the famous brands of fancy wireless headsets, but with its first try for an entry-level headset, the ASTRO Gaming A10 is quite impressive.
Although it is not made of metal components like most Astro headsets, the plastic build of the Astro A10 is impressively sturdy and slick. It comes in various colors of red, green, and blue which is highly compatible with a PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The headset also comes with a 6.5 feet detachable cable with a handy volume slider.
The headset comes with ear cushions made of thick memory foams, but the ear cups are significantly smaller than the typical headsets which can be a little too snug if you have big ears.
For its price, the Astro A10 features almost the same top-notch audio performance of most Astro high-end headsets. It can give you crisp and detailed sound from enemy footsteps to revving engines and screeching tires.
It also has a fairly reliable microphone perfect for in-game chats.
All on its own, the Astro A10 is a fantastic but affordable gaming headset. Its value might be less than most, but it doesn’t compromise and can even put other high-end headsets to shame in terms of build, comfort, and great sound.
If you need versatility from a gaming headset but doesn’t want to splurge on an expensive audio system, the Corsair HS50 is among the best choices.

It has an impressive solid build featuring voluminous caps that can fit snugly on your ears. Plus, it is also extremely comfortable.
With a standard audio jack, you can use the Corsair HS50 in almost every gaming console, PC, tablets, and your mobile phone. Overall, it’s a pretty nice set, and it feels comfy too.
In terms of sound quality, the Corsair HS50 is much better than your typical stereo headset with its 50 mm drivers. It also comes with a detachable and bendable compact microphone with great recording quality.
With its price tag, the Corsair HS50 is among the shiniest choices for durable, premium-feeling, and understated performance for the best gaming headset.

The Turtle Beach Ear Force Stealth 450 is nothing but functional. For a wireless gaming headset, it is a solid proof of getting your money’s worth. While it might not be the best of its kind, it’s passable for its price. This one doesn’t sound bad and doesn’t feel cheap either.
The Spirit Wolf 7.1 is one of the best gaming headset for 100 dollars. It comes with a sleek titanium white color with minimal blue detailing. Plus, it features LED logo displays flashing in and out, adding to the cybernetic droid shape and design of the headset. The futuristic color plus the sharp feature of the Spirit Wolf 7.1 makes it ideal for game players.
One of the best features of this headset is its sound volume which is much louder than other headsets in this price range. It can reel in some gut-wrenching sound levels which can add to your video game experience. Its sound quality is also impressive given its price. It has a built-in Dolby Digital 7.1 surround sound which allows you to hear every single sound in the game you are playing.
The microphone of the SADES Spirit Wolf 7.1 although for its price is not cheap at all. Its mic quality is top-notch and can even put most of the dedicated desktop microphones to shame. The only downside is that the microphone isn’t as flexible as you would probably like.
The SADES Spirit Wolf 7.1 gaming headset is entirely plug-and -lay. Just hook it up to your gaming system, and you would be able to use it directly without needing any external driver.
Comfort is also a huge consideration for the SADES Spirit Wolf 7.1. This over-ear headset features mainly synthetic bi-cast leather padding with polyurethane coating. It also has large ear muffs that can cup your entire ear, making better sound isolation.

- Great sound

If you are someone who is not adequately familiar with this headset, you would be pleased to know that this product can be of your best buys for all times.
He product holds the earphones in its place intact with metal joints. Moreover, the headband uses a free memory foam strip tagging along adjustable tension sliders. The thick memory foam is one of the bliss that you might tend to enjoy during its usage.
Additionally, Turtle has facilitated a window for removing and adjusting ear cushions to add that extra comfort to spectacles wearers. Speaking of the audio, it is by far one of the best-controlled sounds in a headset. Plus, it has got an outstanding quality of multi-tasking.
You can seamlessly use the headset for Skype, discord, Xbox, etc. It supports DTS surround sound modes and with that also has an extra feature of ‘SuperHuman Hearing’ feature.

This has undoubtedly achieved flying colors in meeting expectations of mine. It has set standards for all its contemporary and competition products: functional, versatile and practical.
Now, let’s have a look in depth of its basic attributes.
- Sturdy construction
- Good audio
- The long cable is not detachable
The overall appearance of the headset is sleek, sophisticated. If you are someone who have used SteelSeries product before, you might find its appearance very much identical to that of the Arctic 5.
Speaking of the headband, I found it very much adjustable. Instead of dealing with rigid extendable rods, you could look at a couple of Velcro straps to keep the headband firm. It can take shape and size of your head before you know it.
Usually, the headset comes in two colors, black or white. And considering so, there is nothing that can draw too much attention if you want to wear them on the subway. Moreover, the size is just amply good to carry it in a backpack. The right ear cup has a power button and a chat volume regulator. However, the second attribute is present in the left ear cup too along with a micro USB port for charging and proprietary port.
As I said earlier, the elastic band makes tracing your perfect fit easy. It is something that is exclusive to SteelSeries. The weight of the device is also commendable regarding this, 9.9 ounces. The ear cups create a tight seal around my ears, but at the same time, they are breathable too. However, my only complaint is that whenever I walk with them on, they tend to bounce.
The Arctis 7 showcases stellar performance when it comes to gaming. With stereo and DTS 7.1 surround sound as well as a huge volley of equalization options, you can expect incredible configuration experiences from the headset.
With the SteelSeries Engine 3 software, you can easily mold with the surround sound and create profiles and link them to each game and programs.
The last time I have tested with Overwatch, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, StarCraft II: Nova Covert Ops and Marvel heroes to check how the headset works with diverse genres.
On Flat equalization option with Stereo audio, everything sounded fine, and there was no distortion in the games we played. In immersion setting, the Witcher 3 performed okay too.
Considering all the basic features that a headset gears on, it is truly refreshing to find that the Arctis 7 has a complete solution package all for only more than its wired counterparts.
While some features require a little legwork from you, no action is difficult with it. Adding in the great audio, which is perfect more for games than music, this is by far the most popular and effective headset any company has ever produced till now.
SteelSeries Siberia 800
- Lag-free 24GHz wireless audio with up to 40ft/12m range and more than 20 hours of battery life For the Siberia...
- OLED transmitter delivers complete audio control and charges included swappable headset batteries
- Dolby 71 Surround Sound on PC (stereo audio available on Mac, PS4, Xbox One, VR, Switch, and Mobile)
- On-ear convenient controls to adjust audio settings, volume and mute
- Memory foam ear cushions deliver long-lasting comfort
An ambitious wireless peripheral, with a USP of the perfect compatibility with one and all modern gaming systems in the market, this won my heart with its superb audio and pervasive customization options.
Although I have inhibitions to recommend this headset to all of you, if you are in demand of some high-grade audio from every kind of gaming system, I would vehemently recommend you to at least give a thought to this product. Now, let’s see some of its major strengths and weaknesses.
- High-end sound quality
- Highly compatible with PC
- Hardware-based equalization system
- Works with one system at one time
- Awful setup
- High maintenance
The design of the headphone is not something that can grab your attention readily. However, that will probably work fine for most of you. The whole of the apparatus is black with the left ear cup hiding a microphone. The microphone here is retractable and flexible while the right ear cup has a volume rocker that doubles as a controller for the headset console.
There is also a power button at the right ear cup that can mute the mic. Following this, there are two jacks that allow the SteelSeries Siberia 800 to plug into either an Xbox controller or a mobile phone. The best on-ear headphones and plush, adjustable headband comprise of comfortable faux leather.
The 11 ounce is much tighter on my head than I was previously used to. However, I cannot say that it made me uncomfortable. Even with my glasses on, I could easily wear it for a long time without feeling any pain behind my ears.
The ear cups themselves are very soft and cushiony. Plus they do not tend to get hot or restrictive.
Although this gives nightmares for its set up, once you are through it, you would probably find it to be the best performing headset that you have come across in a while.
The audio is crisp and clear in almost all the genres of the gaming world with an additional advantage of a window where you can fine-tune the equalization. That helps you play your single-player adventures even better and have a mesmerizing experience when it comes to those chaotic shooter games.
As the product boasts on its versatility, I decided to test it through a varied genre of games. I started with the Uncharted four on PS4 in both single and multi-player modes, and I was delighted with the outcomes.
This is probably a good choice of the headset if you are considering everyday music and media listening. However, you may find the price to be a little burden for the task it is being bought for.
I have listened to hard rocks and ballads to pop music from YouTube and have been quite impressed with how the product has stood up to its standards each time. I have even watched a few of the Netflix episodes of 13 reasons why and the experience was very satisfying.
I didn’t feel the need to tweak the equalization much, as the balanced setting is precisely what it claims to be. The mic to is a masterpiece. The last time I had a Skype conversation with one of my friend in the Guaziong city of China, t emic performed to deliver the clear speech.
However, my reviews have been sharply contrasting one of my colleagues in the recent past. He said that when he tried using the mic of his, it resulted in him to some difficult telephonic conversation where many times the speech went inaudible.
This sounds beautiful and works with almost any gaming system. In addition to that, it takes cares of your everyday music feeds too pretty commendable. However, the only slow side of the product is that it is too much expensive for what it has to offer and a huge pain to set up and high maintenance. Thus, I would strongly recommend this product only in case you high need of compatibility.
Gamers that excels in almost every area. For music, if you are in need of some high-end quality, this headset, might be the answer to your questions.

- Volume control conveniently located on right ear cup. Braided fabric cable

However, the primary drawback with this product is that probably it has only got its looks and a considerable audio system that can perhaps fetch down your consideration.
You might agree with me that it doesn’t add anything to its benefit that would justify the cost. Although competent, I would not recommend it to all unless you have a fascination with trendy looks of headphones.
Let’s take a tour of its features before deciding on the product finally.
- Gorgeous design
- Excellent in-game sound
- High-end mic
- Inadequately comfortable
- Inadequate music performance
Probably the only major USP of the product, This comes in an all-black or all-white chassis with just a little red trimming.
You would probably concur that it manages to look cooler than almost any other headset in the market at this price. However, you might find over-the-ear cups to be unnecessarily large.
Aesthetically, This boasts of major two notable features: a boom mic followed by the control on the right ear cup. You may find that the volume controller is so subtle that it will hardly be noticed at first sight.
However, the former makes things less versatile for the product. The mic is not detachable which makes portability of the mic a little muddier.
When it comes to comfort, this is perhaps not the best choice. The ear cups are not amply designed to be breathable especially when it comes to long hours of gaming.
As a game headset, This outshines its legitimate service. While there is no software to tweak the sound, the headphone’s audio renders sound across the board.
When I tried my experience with the product, Captain Americas’ shield offered a ‘smack’ sound that is good to hear. Terran ships too loudly acknowledged their orders in StarCraft II. Overall, I was satisfied with the audio of the headphone.
You might get a little disappointed to learn that the Sennheiser Game One might not perform that well when it comes to everyday music. It lacks the readiness that an ideal pair of music headphones has.
I heard “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus to test the quality, and I found that although it fairly balanced between the accordions, it lacked the punch of the vocal of the artist.
The mic can be termed to be one of the assets of the product. Providing clear, moderately loud sound, it proves as one of the best compatible mics for video chats and phone calls.
This beautiful and works with almost any gaming system. In addition to that, it takes cares of your everyday music feeds too pretty commendable. However, the only slow side of the product is that it is too much expensive for what it has to offer and a huge pain to set up and high maintenance. Thus, I would strongly recommend this product only in case you high need of compatibility.
Its audio and stylish headset is worth considering.
However, it does not justify the price that it comes for. I would recommend t only if you get at a sizable discount.
Astro A 50
- Pro Audio Quality
- Superior Fit & Finish
- Precision Microphone
- 5GHz Wireless Technology
- Dolby Headphone 7.1 Surround Sound
- All current ASTRO Gaming products designed for Xbox One will offer continuous compatibility on future Xbox...
Let’s find out how it has achieved this position.
- Rich surround sound
- Modular components
- Worthy base station
- Strong battery life
- problematic microphone
- companion app may appear overwhelming
The Astro A 50 is a slimly built headset that has an expensive look to offer. Extending this feature is the curvy headband and ear cups, industrial looking components, and bright green or blue highlights. You can neither say its appearance to be too loud or too subtle. It has just got the perfect combination to put it on edge.
Further speaking, the mixamp here has been into the right ear cup, allowing you to quickly adjust the balance between the game and the chat audio. Most of the frequently used buttons are placed at an easy to reach spot behind the right ear.
Although I have sometimes confused the power switch for the EQ one. Another attractive feature in this model is that it is equipped by Astro’s new Base Station, a slick piece of plastic that can be used as a charging dock for your headset.
The new Astro A 50 stands true on its claim of delivering all-day comfort. And for that, much of the credit goes to the lightweight of the device that is as low as 13.4 ounces.
Its plush and soft ear cups often made me forget that I am even wearing something over my ears many times. I have been using this for Titanfall 2 for hours at a stretch and still did not feel a single hinge.
Featuring Dolby Headphone 7.1 surround sound, the A50 delivered crisp, engaging audio during my experience with PS3 and Xbox. The headset has three EQ modes to offer, Astro, and studio.
However, the first one might appear to be the most frequently used as it is the most balanced and close to the natural configuration. You will probably end up finding all of the three modes equally satisfying.
Perhaps this is the only element where I have had inhibitions to rate the Astro A 50 a full 5 star. I have been facing problems myself when I used it to have a 5-minute duration telephonic conversation.
This is one of the strengths of Astro’s A 50. It promises up to 15 hours of battery life under fully charged circumstances. I being a hardcore music freak have found that it didn’t even show up with a single low battery alert in two long days of usage, although it breaks.
The Astro A 50 is one of the most high-end wireless headsets, combining rich surround sound and intuitive controls into a comfortable and light-weight design.
- Lag-free 2.4GHz wireless audio with up to 40ft/12m range and more than 20 hours of battery life
- Bluetooth mobile connectivity to take calls, join VoIP chat, and stream music wirelessly
- OLED transmitter delivers complete audio control and charges included swappable headset batteries
- Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound on PC (stereo audio available on Mac, PS4, Xbox One, VR, Switch, and Mobile)
- On-ear convenient controls to adjust audio settings, volume and mute
The headset succeeds its former Siberia 800 and promises to offer gamers a dedicated headphone standard audio alongside lag-free voice chat. Now let’s have a point-to-point tour of its features of consideration.
- Comfortable wear
- Engine 3 software support
- Decent audio for gaming
- No remarkable Upgradation
- The mic can showcase echoes frequently
- Tedious recharging system
The faux leather and memory foam earbuds are reasonably comfortable. In addition to that, the fact that the microphone can be slotted back inside the headphones is a very useful retouch done to this model.
Speaking more of its design, unlike many transmitters, the 840 comes with an OLED screen. This has made sure that you can apply easy and quick adjustments to the volume and navigate systems.
With the SteelSeries Engine 3 software and Bluetooth support, you can expect the highest volume of 100db from the headset. Thus, you may agree on the fact that the audio system is amply good for gaming.
Playing a few rounds of the shooter, the headphones deal with the high-end reasonably well. The explosions sound fairly meaty and satisfying to ears.
Although expensive, the Siberia 840 would be most worth your money. It is a great headset that will meet even the most hardcore gaming needs. With solid quality, this comes rich customization options. However, if you are a moderately casual gamer, I would not recommend the product.

Offering good sound quality with robust yet resilient build this might be the perfect headphone that can check off the maximum of the checkboxes and serve the widest range of uses. To let you get a better insight of its features, have a look of the following:
- Sturdy Built
- The resilient shape can be compact
- Balanced sound
- Earpads are the most comfortable
- Good battery life
- Micro USB charging
- Not best regarding portable headphones
- The absence of universality of styling
- A little bit too much to weight
- Expensive compared to the competition
The very first thing that you might notice about V-Moda’s new launch Crossfade 2 headset is that it is a bit more comfortable than most of its competition. With its improved new thicker pads, they offer seamless comfort that any experience requires.
The other highlights of the product are the inclusion of a new 50mmm driver, more frequency response in wired mode and more efficient battery completing a total of 14 hours.
Perhaps the only downside of this headphone is that its comfort comes at the cost of little extra weight (309 gms). Again you might find the model to be sturdy, well-built and highly bendable “Steelflex” headband.
These are available in three colors;
- Matte black
- Matte white
- Rose gold
If we go by sound performance, it is probably the best-sounding Bluetooth
Headphones in this price range. Although it fails to astound me as per its wireless headphones genre, it still manages to increase detail, clarity and a sculpted quality of the bass to be still under my consideration.
The V-Moda is the perfect solution if you might consider making calls. I found it slightly dynamic with more of bass energy.
To talk about one of the instances, I tried playing Taylor Swift’s “Crazier” and Emma Stone’s “Audition” from the headphone. The results were such that the voices of both the artists were distinct and clear. Although this performance may not be met for tracks that are not well-mastered.
V-MODA’s new launch Crossfade 2 Wireless Headphones although a tad bit pricey, comes with the manifold advantages of new drivers, new cushions, better battery, more frequency response in wired mode. Thus, it makes the next-gen Bluetooth headphone a winner amongst its competition.
